I learned this week that being without communication is hard! I heard briefly on Sunday evening that my brothers school was on fire.. This was pretty intense news to hear from across the world, and not know any of the details. The next couple days were definitely a struggle for me as I tried contacting people, and finding out as much information that I could. The bits and pieces of information that I DID receive wasn’t good news, 7 fires in San Diego, a big fire in Irvine, and a large fire between Santa Barbara and Malibu. None of which were contained. I couldn’t help but think about all of the people I knew in the areas. It was SO difficult not knowing if people were okay or not. However, when I couldn’t get confirmation from those I love, I turned to prayer. After days of not knowing much of anything, I found out that my Taylor’s school was okay! Praise God! That was really good news to hear. I still don’t know the extent of the damage that was done, but it has been awesome to find out that people I love are okay!

Linds…so glad we finnally have our computer back. Found out it was the phone line. Now we can get your site. About the fire. When you get our letter you will find out how close we were to it on our way down here. We are having troubles with our house, but seems silly to complain, considering all those who LOST their homes. Love you, Lindsey….will try to stay in touch. G&G
